VOLUNTEER
Propaganda is all around you. No image is neutral. Even if you are not aware of it.
From 17-20 September, ‘Manufactured Minds’ will infiltrate your senses. Throw yourself into an overload of falsified realities, bias, AI, propaganda disguised as content, and content disguised as politics, and ask yourself: are we equipped to distinguish between these tactics?
Once again, we'll be transforming Enschede's Oude Markt into a full-blown festival, but we can’t do it without our team of volunteers who keep the machine running.
Do you want to join our volunteer party?
Volunteers are the backbone of this operation. Therefore, this year, we will offer a voluntary fee to each volunteer for the amount of time they spend helping us.
So how does it work?
Fill out the form so we know who you are, what you are into, and when you are available. We will get in contact with you shortly to share the schedule, organize a volunteer meetup, and to send you the volunteer handbook. Before the festival we will meet to make sure you know everything and feel comfortable in your role. Then it's GOGBOT time. You will work alongside the best community of people Enschede has to offer. What do you get when volunteering?
- A volunteer compensation of €5,75 per hour
- A GOGBOT T-shirt
- A free ticket for the afterparty on Saturday
- Food and drink vouchers for your shift
- Sharing time with Enschede's coolest people
What are some volunteer roles?
subject to change, expect the unexpected
- Handyperson - are you handy with tools? Perfect. Build the apparatus of persuasion.
- Art guardian - protect the art from mishandling.
- Info stand - answer visitors' questions and guide them where they need to go.
- Runner - jump in wherever you are needed to support the team.
- Artist handler - support the artists and keep them where they need to be on time.
- Clean up - keep the festival space clean of bottles, cups, debris, etc. Chaos keeper.
- Backstage helper - keep backstage clean and artists happy.
...and possibly more roles to come.
