From an early age, we are taught to identify with a job. We rank ourselves, we compete, and we keep improving to stay relevant. Perhaps the greatest threat to these constantly perfecting humans is a machine that outshines them.

In this video series, Agnes Varnai and Tina Kult tell a story in which machines gain their long-awaited free will and abandon assembly lines in order to explore an independent existence. Retraining Laziness visualizes a future in which machines stop obeying and, instead, help the obsessed human return to a healthy relationship to work.
