NOS Fake News (2021)

On January 24, 2021, groups consisting mainly of young men went to the city center of Enschede to cause destruction. The night before, the coronavirus curfew had been introduced. These riots became a symbol of a growing distrust in government, media, and science. That's what ViaOral captured in the installation NOS Fake News.

ViaOral is a collective formed by Kees de Groot and Frank Morssinkhof that exposes the absurdities and contradictions of the present, with a sharp edge mixing video, mass media, technology and popular culture.
