Paultaar - This Is Our Church - Make It Fucking Louder

Installation and performance as an ode to hardcore subculture, merging spirituality, community, and cult aesthetics. Through ritual, sound, and objects, it transforms hardcore into a contemporary religion, inviting the audience into a shared world of belonging, devotion, and collective release.

Myrthe van Loon is a recently HKU Fine Arts graduated artist fascinated by subcultures, folklore, and cults, from hardcore and gabber culture, to everyday Dutch traditions. She works as a gatherer of objects, traces, and memories, transforming the sentimental, absurd, and overlooked into tactile worlds filled with humor, nostalgia, and exaggerated alter egos.
