IMG_0443.JPG explores how digital technology transforms memories into permanent, retrievable data. Using the metadata of a single photograph, Luca examines our dependence on digital systems to save our experiences into files that can be stored, classified and recalled forever. Where the human body forgets, the machine remembers.

Luca Oosterloo is a Dutch artist and designer whose practice explores perception, ecology, and digital technology. Through image, sound and generative text, he questions what happens when everything can be captured and reproduced as data. A tension between biological memory and computational permanence, questioning what may be lost when forgetting is replaced by endless digital storage. (Pictures of Roel Backaert)
