The Chronicle of Gaia examines how humanity has spent thousands of years trying to detach itself from the interconnected web of all living things. This has resulted in an uprooted society in which people have become increasingly self-focused and lost sight of their connection to the Earth - Gaia.

Carlijn Kingma is a cartographer of society, using architecture and intricate drawings to map the invisible political, social, and power structures that shape our world. Her imagined worlds turn complex systems into alternative maps for navigating society, developed through collaborations with researchers and journalists.
