The Manosphere Oracles (2025-2026)

Interactive installation to talk with two divine archetypes: Apollo and Dionysus. Apollo stands for the cold, over-rationalized, stoic side of toxic masculinity, which dominates politics. Dionysus stands for the chaotic, impulsive side. Both figures are made up of the rhetoric of the manosphere, the world of incel culture, certain artists and influencers. You make a question, the gods answer.

Bas Kusters is an audiovisual and new-media artist based in Amsterdam. His work examines the politics of the screen: how images exert power and how we relate to it. He works with CRT installations, video, photography, TouchDesigner, web documentary and interactive art.
