Synthetic Provenance of the Crystalline Yield ( Stream )

In this video work, a streamer-character obsessively unpacks the lore behind Synthetic Provenance of the Crystalline Yield: an abandoned shop where a child has gone deep down the rabbit hole. Silicon wafers become stroopwafels, Kim Kardashian becomes a philosopher of power, and a military-contractor fan looks suspicious.

During a three-week GOGBOT x Concordia Productielab residency, Anahit will rework and expand the project through conversations with four mentors with different expertise. Expect a fresh take and a work that is still evolving.

Amsterdam-based artist Anahit Yakubovich works across research, performance, installation and technology, creating temporary worlds where reality and make-believe happily collide. She slips into different characters and uses internet humor, personal stories and absurd narratives to lure audiences into much bigger questions. Sometimes the best way to understand a complicated system is to get completely lost inside it.
