The Erotic Morphology | Youngblood
Fie Bekkers has always been drawn to the mystery and power of the feminine, the human body and the power of the erotic. These topics are the foundation of her artistic practice which mainly exists of materialistic experiments, where she gets intimate with the material; an intuitive process in which through touch and play she forges new connections. In the end the experience is documented in a way that keeps an abstract and ambiguous frame.
The Erotic Morphology is a celebration, an ongoing journey of discovery, connection and self-expression, enriching our understanding and experiences by embracing the beauty of unpredictability and the unknown.

Fie Bekkers Andersen graduated in 2023 from ArtEZ Arnhem and is nominated for the KITT YoungBlood Award.
Through her work she aims to apply the concept of female imagery; using organic and round shapes - frequently in red and pink - as symbols connected to the core of women's experiences. Thus creating authentic pieces that resonate with her evolving identity as a female artist.
