Life as a Race | Youngblood

Sara Postolle is making an art practice out of literally executing metaphors. Life as a race is one of them, translated to various works that together make one big work. 

A performance in which Sara is rolling a tire through an imaginary race track, as a human Lamborghini. Manually taking over the task of the speedy car, Postolle becomes a modern Sisyphus; she keeps rolling the tire, whilst finding a personal meaning in the pointless activity. Life’s adversities and suffering are overcome in this competition against previous versions of herself, freedom and independence are obtained, Postolle is in control. What drives her is the will to become larger-than-life; to be metaphysical.
